On the first day of our trip to Lhasa - we left Xining, the capital of Qinghai province in western China - we came accross 4 prostrating monks. Their destination was Lhasa, the holy Potala Palace. The monks prostrate themselves to show their deep respect for Buddha. A journey of 2,000 km long. We travelled the same route, but only we had a comfortable coach.
